BOOK #26 THE QURAN
Seems to be a codification of laws, ethical guidelines, sanctioned behaviors, and motivations for the movement, religion, and political power known as Islam. Below are some of the more poetical verses I found during my reading of this text. I will add more perspectives on it soon.
“God has created man and taught him to think freely.”
— Surah 55:3-4
“The foremost among people are those who believe and do good deeds.”
— Surah 56:10-12
“Paradise is a place where all greet each other with ‘peace’ everywhere.”
— Surah 56:25-26
“The sun, the moon, and the stars are created for us to learn worship.”
— Surah 22:18
“Eternity progresses as the night envelops the day in its darkness, and the day envelops the night in its light.”
— Surah 39:5
“Allah is always forgiving and merciful. He cares for us humans.”
— Surah 22:65
“Allah is the one who forgives and forgives again.”
— Surah 39:53
“The purpose of all things is to serve everything else.”
— Surah 22:65
“We should forgive and overlook others’ faults.”
— Surah 24:22
“Muhammad says: ‘What you wish for yourself, seek to give it to all humanity.’”
“None of you [truly] believes until he loves for his brother that which he loves for himself.”
